violets aren't blue

roses are red
violets aren't blue
a question inside my head
of the poem untrue

roses are red
yes, violets aren't blue
the poem is smooth
but hiding from the truth

greenland isn't green
pinky's not pink
so now what do you think?

Here's what i think. The poet wanted the poem to ryhme so it will be smooth and mellow to read but it is hiding from the truth where violet isn't actually blue. Just like us, trying to hide from our truth to look perfect. Don't you think so?
